Rocket Money has a clear job: find the subscriptions you forgot, cancel the ones you do not want and lower the bills you can. Its own site says it also tracks spending, builds budgets, shows a credit score and follows your net worth, and that more than 10 million people are members. If you want an app that goes out and does money chores on your behalf, it is built for that.
What each one starts from
Rocket Money starts from your accounts. Its free plan links your checking, savings, credit cards and investments, then finds recurring subscriptions and bills from what passes through them. Everything it shows you, from spending trends to low-balance notifications, comes out of that link.
myClerkBook starts from what you hand it. You photograph a receipt, or upload an invoice or a statement file you exported yourself, and the entry comes back filled in for you to confirm before anything is saved. There is no bank login anywhere in the product, so there is nothing to revoke later and nothing for anyone else to leak.

Where Rocket Money is better
There is a cost on our side too. A feed finds a forgotten subscription you never typed anywhere. A book of account only knows what you have recorded, so a charge nobody entered stays invisible to us.
Who each one is for
- Choose Rocket Money if you want an app to hunt down subscriptions and bills for you, and you are comfortable linking your accounts to get that.
- Choose myClerkBook if you earn from several clients or in several currencies, want one book per client or project, or do not want a bank login in the picture at all.
- Choose neither if you need double-entry accounting with statutory statements. An accountant will serve you better than either of us.

No login, no aggregator, no read access. Architectural, not a setting.
Stored exactly as entered, converted daily on Premium.
One per entry read from a receipt, invoice or statement, on Premium. 50 a month on Basic.
Each with its own categories, base currency and insights, on Premium.
One last thing, and it applies to every comparison on this blog. myClerkBook is not trying to be the product with the most features on the page. It is trying to be the one that never asks you for something it should not need. If automatic bank import is the thing you want most, buy the product that does it well and ignore everything above. That is a real preference and it deserves a real answer rather than a sales rebuttal.
